Here’s what you need to check to keep your condo in working order this summer.
Summer Home Maintenance Checklist
Patio Conditions
Before enjoying your outdoor space with the new warm weather, take some time to fully ensure your patio is ready to go for the summer.
Start by examining and cleaning your patio furniture.
Use this time to also wipe down your deck surface before putting your furniture out.
We recommend inspecting your grill and looking over all of your outside amenities for any winter damage.
Double check your fire extinguisher to make sure it’s in working order before firing up the grill this summer, too!
Outdoor Lighting
Make sure your outdoor summer lighting is in working order.
This includes flood lights, deck lights, and any extra summer lighting for your patio.
Double check that your outlets are not damaged and that there is no exposed wiring that could be affected by the summer elements.
A/C Unit
Spend some time inspecting your A/C unit after the long winter hiatus.
In addition to changing out air filters and cleaning your vents, give your A/C unit a good rinse off from all of the accumulated debris. Take some time to make sure everything is in working order.
If you’re unsure of proper maintenance, bring out a trained professional to take a look.
Bugs
The summer brings all sorts of critters out of winter hiding.
Inspect your doors, windows, and any cracks and crevices for possible bug entrances into your condo.
If you notice any unwanted bugs in your condo, contact an exterminator to resolve the problem so you can enjoy a bug free summer.
